Liturgical events

In the Church's liturgical year, feasts are linked to either the days of the week or the days of the month, resulting in two intertwined cycles of feasts: the cycle of liturgical seasons and feasts. Liturgical days can be Sundays, ordinary days of the week, vigils (the eve of a feast day), octaves (the celebration of major feasts over eight days), and festivals. In terms of the liturgical calendar, intangible cultural heritage events in the Trakai district account for the largest share of all intangible cultural heritage events.
